Analytics

Tally uses industry standard analytics to understand site usage, monitor for bots/ exploitation campaigns, and identify audiences for feature development.

Operating Modes

Tally can be run in two different modes:

  • in a mode called Bring your own pool BYOP where you specify your own PoolDo pool, you can ensure your content will only be downloaded and evaluated on your machine(s),
  • or one where you use the Default Pool, and thus consent for your content to be distributed to the machines of PoolDo users for execution.

BYOP Mode

  • Your content — Documents you import into corpora are uploaded to the cloud but will only be downloaded by PoolDo machines you authorize (in most cases, just the one you're using).
  • Rubrics and Evaluation results — Rubrics, Scores, log probabilities, and run data are stored in the produciton database, but are only visible to the users you select.

Default Pool

  • The default pool generally has the same data storage in the cloud, however...
  • IMPORTANT In the default pool configuration, in addition to content being copied to the cloud - it may be downloaded on to arbitrary, unknown users' machines for computation.

Data Deletion

Tally uses a PostgreSQL database to store all application data. You have full control over your content in this database, including the ability to share it, delete it, or export it.
